Painting Kids Rooms - Fun Ideas
I promised the twins that we would paint their new rooms this spring.
And spring is almost here.
This was their old room.
So simple when they were babies and just layed in their cribs and watched me paint.
When they got a bit older they painted a space near the window by themselves (when I wasn’t looking) and I left it because I couldn’t bear to cover up their first wall artwork.
We even added a 1 to 10 search game where they had to find the correct number of different things that were painted or displayed around the room. That was their favorite.
We had a mailbox with their address on it and photos of them and all their grandparents so they would learn quickly. And lots of shelves and even crates screwed into the wall for safely displaying their stuff.
Painting this spring won’t be quite so easy.
Makenna is fairly straightforward princesses, ponies, butterflies and a castle. We can do that, it kinda all ties together.
But, Jarod on the other hand wants the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies represented…as well as Cars (from the movie), and Indy Car and hot wheels and more stuff that I know I’m forgetting.
I thought boys were supposed to be easier.
At least I recently found this really neat site, Design Dazzle, that has lots of great ideas.
Wish me luck.
And please, please share any great ideas decorating ideas or websites.
Thanks.
